About Verified Wedding Awards

Verified Wedding Awards: awards a couple can check

We run an international, pay-to-enter programme for wedding businesses. Every entry is scored on evidence out of 100, and every score is published.

We started because most award badges tell a couple nothing they can verify: no score, no method, no way to see why one business won.

Why we started

Why start another wedding awards programme?

With Verified Wedding Awards, each winner shows a score out of 100 and the parts it was built from: photos and video, client reviews, professional standards and any couples' bonus. Anyone can check the maths.

We also wanted entrants to get something back for their fee. Every business that enters receives a written scorecard showing what scored well and what to improve, whether or not it wins. Under 65 points, you still get that scorecard and 20% off next year's entry.

Who runs it

Who runs Verified Wedding Awards?

An independent awards programme where evidence, not a judging panel, decides every result.

Most wedding awards ask you to trust a panel you never see. We publish the method instead: every score comes from evidence anyone can check, and every entrant gets the same written scorecard. The scoring was designed so that no single judge and no fee can move a result.

  • Paid extras never change a score or a tier
Checking any awards

Are wedding awards legit? Four checks to run

Some awards are earned and some are simply sold, and four questions tell them apart, whichever programme you are looking at.

Couple standing in a wide open landscape in soft light
01

Is the method published?

A credible programme shows what counts and how much before you trust its badge. If the weighting is secret, nobody can check the result.

02

Do winners show a score?

A number lets couples compare. A bare winner badge with no score hides how close the decision was, or whether there was any contest.

03

Who pays, and for what?

Paying to enter and be scored is normal. Paying to be nominated, shortlisted or placed is a purchase, not an award.

04

Can you see who runs it?

A named owner and a way to reach them mean someone is accountable. An anonymous awards site leaves you nobody to ask.

A badge on a website should answer a simple question: won what, judged how?

FAQs

Questions about who we are and how we work

Short answers to the questions people ask before they trust a new awards programme with their money or their wedding.

Is Verified Wedding Awards legit?

Verified Wedding Awards is a real, pay-to-enter awards programme, and every result can be checked. Each winner shows a score out of 100, the scoring method is public, and you can email the people who run it directly.

Who is behind Verified Wedding Awards?

Verified Wedding Awards is an independent awards programme with no judging panel: scores come from photos and video, client reviews and professional standards, plus an optional couples' feedback bonus, all checked against public point bands.

Does Verified Wedding Awards sell awards or nominations?

No, Verified Wedding Awards never sells positions, scores or nominations. Wedding businesses pay a fixed entry fee to be scored, and the score alone decides the tier. Extras such as the crystal award or a featured profile never change a result.

Is there a wedding awards review of your programme yet?

Verified Wedding Awards is new, so independent reviews of the programme do not exist yet; the first cycle runs through 2027. Until then, judge us on what you can check: the scoring method, the fees on this page and the scorecard every entrant receives.

Do couples pay to use Verified Wedding Awards?

No, couples use Verified Wedding Awards free: the winners directory, best-of lists and destination guides cost nothing. In a couples' feedback round, a couple confirms their email and wedding date, rates a vendor 1 to 5 and writes one line.
