In short: enter in two minutes, pay one fixed fee, add your evidence on a private page, get a published score out of 100 and a written scorecard. We send one test enquiry during scoring. Full refund until scoring starts.
Who we are
The Verified Wedding Awards ("we", "us") run international awards for wedding businesses at verifiedweddingawards.com. You can reach us at hello@verifiedweddingawards.com. By sending the entry form and paying the entry fee, you ("the entrant") accept these terms.
Who can enter
- Wedding businesses working in one of our 18 award categories, in any country.
- You need at least 5 client reviews from the last 36 months on a public platform, and 6–10 photos from separate real weddings.
- Staff, family and business partners of the Verified Wedding Awards cannot enter.
- You must be the owner of the business or authorised to enter it.
Entry fees and payment
Fees are shown in euros and are the same in every country:

Payment is taken by card through Stripe. We do not see or store your card details. Your entry is confirmed when payment succeeds. If you send the form but do not pay, your details are kept as an unpaid entry and we may send up to three payment reminders; you can ask us to delete an unpaid entry at any time.
Your private entry page
After payment we email you a private link to your entry page and, in a separate email, its password. Keep both confidential; anyone with both can open your entry. You can request a new password from the entry page at any time; it is always sent to the email address you entered with.
On the entry page you add photos (we resize each one to under 500 KB), video links, your logo, links to your client reviews, years trading and insurance, and optionally past couples.
Your evidence and the rights to it
- Everything you submit must be genuine and about your own work. Photos must come from real weddings you worked on.
- You confirm you have the right to submit every photo, video and logo, including the photographer's permission where you did not take them yourself.
- You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use your submitted photos, logo and business name to score your entry, to show them anonymously to other entrants for peer review, and, if you reach a tier, on your public listing, our winners and best-of pages and in our announcements of results. You keep ownership.
- You can ask us to remove your listing at any time after the awards year; we will stop using your material in new publications.
How entries are scored
Every entry is scored out of 100 using the method published on our Scoring page, which forms part of these terms:
- Photos and video: 35 points, from the median mark given by entrants in your category from other countries, or by our team using the same published checklist when fewer than 3 peer marks are available.
- Client reviews: 45 points, from the number of reviews, the average rating and how many of your latest 10 reviews are specific and positive.
- Professional standards: 20 points, including how quickly you reply to a standard test enquiry (see below).
- Couples' feedback: an optional bonus of up to 15 points. The final score is capped at 100.
When you enter, you agree to rate up to 5 anonymous portfolios from other countries honestly, using the same checklist.
The test enquiry
During scoring we send you one standard wedding enquiry, written as a couple would write it, from a neutral email address. We record how long you take to send a first reply; this gives up to 7 points. After you reply, we tell you it was our test enquiry so you do not spend time on it. By entering you agree to receive this test enquiry.
Past couples' feedback
You can invite past couples to rate you, either by giving us their names and email addresses or by sharing your own link with them. You may only give us a couple's email address if they have agreed that you share it with us for this purpose. We contact each couple at most twice (one invitation and one reminder), every email has an opt-out, and replies only count once the couple has confirmed them through their own email address. One reply counts per email address; replies from your own address or business domain do not count.
Results and tiers
- Winner: 85 or more and the top score in your area and category.
- Highly Commended: 75–84, or 85 and above but not the top score in your area.
- Finalist: 65–74.
- Under 65: no tier; you receive your scorecard and 20% off next year's entry.
Entries of 65 and above are published with their score. Every entrant receives a written scorecard. If we find an error in a published score we correct it and republish it.
Appeals
You can ask us to re-check any part of your score by writing to hello@verifiedweddingawards.com within 14 days of receiving your result, naming the part you dispute. We reply within 10 working days. Errors are corrected and republished; if there is no error, we explain why.
Withdrawal and refunds
You can withdraw for a full refund at any time before scoring of your entry has started. Once scoring has started, entry fees are not refundable, because the work has been done. Full details are on our Refund policy.
Paid extras
- Winner's kit (€29): digital files (badges, A4 certificate, social posts, email signature, press release) unlocked on your entry page once you reach a tier. By unlocking it you ask for immediate access to digital content and agree that your right to cancel ends once it is unlocked.
- Engraved crystal award (€149): a physical award made to order and posted to you. Delivery times depend on your country.
- Featured profile (€99 per year): your listing is shown first and labelled "Featured". It never changes your score, tier or result.
Using our name and badges
Businesses that reach a tier may show the matching badge for the year of the result, linked to their public listing where possible. Badges must not be altered or used for a different year, tier or category. We can ask you to remove a badge that is used misleadingly.
Disqualification
We may disqualify an entry, without refund, and remove any listing if we find fake or bought reviews, feedback written by or for the entrant, photos that are not the entrant's own work, attempts to influence peer marks, or abuse of other entrants, couples or our team.
Liability
We run the awards with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses you suffer from not winning, from the publication of an accurate score, or from events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us for the entry concerned.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms for future award years; the version in force when you paid applies to your entry. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country.
